Charlene Voyce, M.P.H.

Associate Director of Out-of-School Time

Charlene Voyce, M.P.H., is the associate director of Out-of-School Time at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. She received her AB from Duke University and her MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For more than 30 years, she has worked in the world of SEL, first as a special education teacher, then as project director for a series of studies on the impact of school-based SEL programming on a variety of health, behavior, and academic outcomes. Currently she focuses on professional development for youth workers and adapting RULER to out-of-school time settings, including recess and after-school programming. Outside of her work at the Center, she is an advocate for individuals with disabilities in medical, school, and workforce settings.
